EXPED | Waterproof Compression Bag

This is a side-compression bag designed to compress and hold soft items in a tube shape - hot dog shape vs. hamburger form (see Waterproof Telecompression Bag).

Three compression straps work in concert with EXPED’s FlatValve to simultaneously purge air from the bag and reduce the volume of clothing and sleeping bags. The elongated shape is ideal for filling the narrow, vertical space in a backpack and when strapping the bag on the pack’s side. The roll-top closure seals out water for all but submersion and factory-taped seams do the same. A white internal coating creates a bright interior and 70-denier taffeta nylon offers a balance of durability and light weight. A grip-strap on the base serves as a counter-pull when extracting items from the top of the bag. The FlatValve turns this stuff sack into a sleeping mat inflation device when the EXPED Schnozzel inflation tube is attached.
